Welcome to Andy's website
Oddly enough, you're here. Feel free to wander around aimlessly or with some gainful purpose. However, I make no promises that your time will be well spent or any more than mildly amusing. Your comments, job offers and good humored greetings are always welcome:

I grew up in Rochester, NY, the younger, less attractive brother of Jennifer. My dad, Professor Andrew, heads the Imaging and Photographic Technology program at RIT, and has been there for more than 40 years now. My sister and I had a university as a playground, which brought some interesting people and experiences into our lives. Some of my fondest memories growing up back east were the many canoe trips dad would take us on -- down the Moose River to James Bay, Ontario and over Skinners Falls on the Delaware, and of course, Algonquin Park.
Though originally from Hungary, our grandparents lived in Seattle when I was young, and we would visit there most summers. I guess this was the inspiration behind my eventual move west when I graduated high school. Captain Andrew was a naval architect and would often take us sailing. And it was my grandmother, Gabriella, that taught and encouraged me to play tennis. I was a pretty decent player when I was young, and I still stay fairly competitive with the guys at the local club. With the new year, came my new job with Ziba Design, working as a creative director in the areas of experience strategy and product design. When not working, some of my favorite things to do are taking pictures, writing, traveling, and riding my bikes. I have some great friends scattered about the world, but my dog, Wesley, stays pretty close by. |
